Fleet Service in Charlotte, NC

The program side of fleet work: national account billing, standing maintenance slots and an alignment cadence, for operators who measure downtime in hours rather than in jobs.

Programme

What this page is, and what it is not

Fleet services is the work: the brakes, the suspension, the tires, the transmissions, the PM intervals. This page is the arrangement around it — how the billing runs, how the yard gets scheduled, and what a maintenance program looks like when it covers twenty units instead of one.

National account billing

We accept national account service through Michelin, Bridgestone and Yokohama. If your tires are already on one of those programs, the paperwork side of a tire job here works the way it does everywhere else on the network.

Scheduling a yard rather than a truck

A fleet does not book a repair, it books capacity. Preventative maintenance runs on the mileage and duty cycle of each unit, DOT inspections run annually per vehicle, and neither of those is a thing to remember one truck at a time. Tell us what the fleet looks like — how many units, what they run, where they run it — and we will put the intervals against a calendar.

An alignment program, not an alignment

Alignment is the piece with the clearest return, and it is the piece most programs leave out. Checking geometry at every PM interval and after every tire or suspension event costs bay time; not checking it costs tread, fuel and uptime, continuously and invisibly.

Where the money goes

Tire wear
Shoulder and feather toe and camber out of specification
Fuel
~1% MPG extra rolling resistance from thrust angle
Downtime
Between PMs steering and suspension wear early

We put the arithmetic behind that in the real ROI of a fleet alignment program.

FAQ

Fleet questions

Do you work on fleets?

Yes. Fleet repairs, preventative maintenance, federal DOT inspections and alignment are all part of the service list, scheduled around the way a yard actually runs rather than one truck at a time.

How often should fleet vehicles undergo preventative maintenance?

Preventative maintenance for fleet vehicles should be scheduled based on mileage and usage. For most heavy-duty trucks, PM services are recommended every 10,000 to 15,000 miles. Frequency may vary depending on the operational demands and driving conditions of your fleet.

How often should a fleet schedule wheel alignments to manage costs?

For highway tractors, check alignment at each preventive maintenance interval and after any tire or suspension event. Verify ride height and suspension condition first, then measure and adjust the geometry. That order is what keeps fuel, tread life and uptime predictable.

Professional, knowledgeable and reasonable on pricing. I’ve had alignments and balancing done here as well as an oil change. As an owner operator, I find Reed and the staff some of the best around in Charlotte when it comes to maintaining a semi.

EagleSpan installed 6 new tires on my RV. They got the tires I wanted quickly, balanced and mounted the tires while I waited. They even installed new valve stems. Friendly people, great prices and speedy service earns them 5 stars. It’s also the only place in the Charlotte area that I know of that does alignments on big rigs.
